Spaces still available in Faculty of Education 2018 summer camps

The Faculty of Education offers a variety of unique summer camp programs in July and August. A low camper-to-counsellor ratio ensures maximum involvement among participants.

Spaces are still available Monday, August 20 through Friday, August 24 in:

  • Too Cool for Camp: ages 14 to 17.
  • Family camps: Five single-day camp programs to provide families with ideas for infusing STEAM into their activities.
  • Educator sessions: Creating a Makerspace – Level 1 and Advanced STEAM Makerspace - Level 2.

Camp programs make use of laptops, digital cameras, science and engineering equipment, and iPad technology. Campers share the equipment. Each camp has a different focus and theme. All camp sessions include outside games and activities. An Indigenous perspective has been infused into the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) camps, with campers learning cultural aspects through Knowledge Keepers.

Counsellors are Concurrent Education students and graduates of the 萌妹社区's Faculty of Education program, and members of the Ontario College of Teachers.

Discounted fees are available for university faculty and staff. Spaces fill up quickly!
