Help celebrate Giving Tuesday
First came Black Friday, then Cyber Monday. Now, Giving Tuesday is the day to give back and demonstrate the spirit of giving.
On Tuesday, November 27 the university will once again participate in Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving that has grown into a movement uniting people around the world.
Last year, the university community raised more than $12,000 to promote student success through mental health programs, share Indigenous culture across our campus and provide grocery cards to students in need.
This Giving Tuesday, our goal is to raise $20,000 for two projects to create greater resources that will alleviate food insecurity for students in need:
- The grocery gift card program, which provides emergency support for our students throughout the year.
- The Holiday Food Drive, a longstanding tradition on campus that has helped hundreds of 萌妹社区 and Durham College students, and their families, enjoy happier holidays.
and promote #UOITGives on your social networks. This year, the university is grateful for the support of Johnson Insurance and J.J. McGuire for their matching gift sponsorships. Every gift matters and will be doubled!
