Vice-President responsible for Research and Innovation search update and consultation

The process to recruit a new Vice-President responsible for Research and Innovation has begun. The university seeks a professional who will work collaboratively to enhance and energize the university’s research mission and define its innovation footprint. The university recently announced the members of the Search Committee (listed below). Executive search firm Odgers Berndtson was selected through a competitive process to support the Search Committee.

As part of this process, the Committee has worked to develop a consultation plan that provides opportunities for all stakeholders, staff, faculty, students, alumni and the external community, to share their input to help develop the candidate profile. This process will be rolled out through listening sessions, interviews, and a confidential online survey. The Committee members will participate and oversee all aspects of the consultation process.

Listening sessions were organized for both the north and downtown campus locations on November 27. A confidential online is available to all stakeholders for those who were unable to attend these sessions or who wish to participate in an alternative way. You can also reach out directly to Jane Griffith at Odgers Berndtson to provide your confidential comments about the search for our next Vice-President responsible for Research and Innovation.
