Indigenous Education and Cultural Services provides guidance on upcoming symposium for youth
Through a partnership with the and the , the university’s Indigenous Education and Cultural Services (IECS) team provided guidance on the Youth Navigate the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action Symposium, which will take place Wednesday, March 20 at the Deer Creek Golf and Country Club in Ajax, Ontario.
The Town of Ajax approached the IECS team earlier this year to provide guidance on cultural protocol, program design and delivery for the event. IECS will also facilitate two sessions during the symposium to help educate youth on the history, cultures and perspectives of Indigenous Canadians.
