Thank you for participating in Pi Day of Giving
On March 14, in celebration of , our university students, staff, faculty and community shared one purpose: to grow our circle in support of scholarships for students.
Thank you to everyone who supported this initiative and helped make our second-annual Pi Day of Giving a huge success! Faculty and staff volunteers served more than 2,100 pieces of pie across our campus. To date, more than $54,000 has been raised for the Student Success Fund, including sponsorship. As of March 20, with matching funds, this amount has been doubled to more than $109,000. More than $71,000 has also been added to the General Scholarship Endowment.
The Region of Durham and local municipalities helped celebrate by proclaiming March 14 as Pi Day of Giving to our university, and raising our flag in each community. Through sponsorship, donations and community support, March 14 took on new meaning across the Region as a day of giving to support the infinite possibilities for students at the 萌妹社区.
The Pi Day of Giving campaign will continue in support of the Student Success Fund until the end of March, and all donations will be matched. Contributions can also be made through payroll deduction.
