Potential traffic delays at Commencement Drive bus loop entrance/exit on April 4 for Campus Charity Walk and Run

The 11th-annual Campus Charity Walk and Run for the Boys and Girls Club of Durham will take place Thursday, April 4 between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. During this time, all Durham Region Transit and GO Transit buses coming to campus may experience short delays entering and exiting the Commencement Drive bus loop loading zone.

The passenger loading areas will remain within the designated bus loop; however, buses may be held back temporarily to allow runners to pass safely.

Runners and walkers alike are welcome to support the cause, which will begin from Gym 3 at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre. Participants will complete two loops around campus.

Note: Prior to race day, participants must  or in-person at Bordessa Hall (55 Bond Street East), fourth-floor reception area. They can also donate at either location and share the link to raise funds online.

Registration is $20 per person. Participants are encouraged to raise additional funds. Spouses and children of faculty and staff are welcome to participate. All entrants will receive a race number, goody bag and T-shirt.

The Boys and Girls Club of Durham provides a safe, supportive place where children and youth in Durham Region can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life.
