How to recycle materials depicting the university’s former brand

The Communications and Marketing (C&M) department is taking a sustainable approach to replacing materials displaying the university’s former brand(s).

C&M-led recycling programs

There are special recycling requirements for:

  • Coroplast (corrugated plastic) posters and signage
  • Textiles such as fabric tablecloths

Please send any of the above items you have by Friday, June 21 to:

Emma Blizzard, Office Assistant
Communications and Marketing
61 Charles Street Building, DTA 362-6

Other items

  • Once your orders for new stationery have been processed through the Ontario Tech eStore, discontinue use of old stationery. Recycling/upcycling suggestions:
    • Use large envelopes for interoffice mail.
    • Use old letterhead as scratch paper.
  • Recycle your outdated print collateral (e.g. pamphlets, brochures, etc.). If you have large quantities, contact servicedesk@uoit.ca to request a large recycling bin.
  • If you have an inventory of promotional items with the university’s former brand (e.g. water bottles, t-shirts, pens, portfolios, etc.), contact brand@uoit.ca to discuss what to do with them.

Note: Looking to place orders for new Ontario Tech items? Contact brand@uoit.ca for support.
