Student Learning Centre staff members receive awards from Learning Specialists Association of Canada
Candace Chard, Peer Learning Co-ordinator and Krista Elliott, Manager, Student Learning Centre, were recognized at the (LSAC) annual awards ceremony in May.
LSAC is a voluntary, national association for professionals who focus on the application of learning theory in higher education. It aims to develop, encourage and model sound professional ethical standards among its members while facilitating the dissemination of current and emerging trends in research in learning.
LSAC recognized Candace and Krista for their deep commitment to promoting professional development among their peers. In May 2017, they hosted a regional roundtable discussion at Ontario Tech; they have also presented at national and regional conferences and hosted webinars for their peers.
