Emergency desktop notification and digital signage testing – August 28

As part of the university’s commitment to improving the efficiency of communication during emergencies, the Office of Campus Safety (OCS) will test on-campus computer and digital signage emergency messaging on Wednesday, August 28 at approximately 9 a.m. The test will help OCS evaluate the capabilities of the desktop notification and digital signage for the Campus Incident Response Emergency Notification System (CIRENS).

During the test, you may see a notification pop up on your computer that says: “TEST TEST TEST. This is a test of the CIRENS emergency notification system. Press the acknowledge button below to remove this message from your screen.”

You may press the button to clear the message (it will automatically clear after one minute). No further action or response is required.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
