Opportunity for four to 11 year-olds to participate in Ontario Tech research

The Faculty of Social Science and Humanities’ invites children ages 4 to 11 fluent in English to participate in a study regarding friendships and disclosure of wrongdoing.

What does this study involve?

Children will listen to a brief story about a situation where someone has to decide whether to disclose someone's minor act of wrongdoing by telling a teacher, friend or parent. In a second set of stories, child participants will learn the character in the story is going to disclose the wrongdoing; the participant will choose whom the character tells, and then answer questions about their choice.

The study takes about 20 minutes to complete and children will receive a small prize at the end. Parents will also be entered in a draw to win one of two $50 gift cards!

The study can take place at the lab in downtown Oshawa or in your home—whatever is most convenient for you.
