Administrative Building Naming Policy – request for feedback

The Communications and Marketing department seeks feedback on a draft of the .

This policy will define the principles and criteria that lead to the naming of the university’s buildings. It will guide the university in assessing naming opportunities in a judicious and consistent manner that serves the strategic goals and longer-term interests of the university and the community. It will also help the university create building names that are understandable while encouraging an inclusive, welcoming, consistently branded and easy-to-navigate campus.

This policy will also allow the university to adjust and/or change the names of its buildings in anticipation of a new campus wayfinding and signage program, to be implemented beginning in 2020.

University community members can share their suggestions and feedback on this policy and ideas for building names consistent with the policy by submitting the by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29.
