Nominate someone for a Celebrate Teaching! Award
Nominations are now open for the Celebrate Teaching! Awards. These awards recognize the commitment and excellence of all faculty members who teach at Ontario Tech. Nomination packages and instructions are available for:
- Award for Excellence in Teaching
- Early Career Teaching Award
- Learning Reimagined Awards (formerly Teaching Innovation Award)
- Openness in Education Award (new)
- Student Choice Awards
- Teaching Assistant Excellence Award
- Tim McTiernan Student Mentorship Award
The new Openness in Education Award recognizes members of the Ontario Tech community who are dedicated to furthering the practice of open education, including open educational practices and use of open educational resources.
In keeping with the university’s strategic priorities, the Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee has also renamed the Teaching Innovation Award to the Learning Reimagined Award. This award still acknowledges Ontario Tech instructors who bring innovation to their instructional practices and learning environment.

Nominations are due by Friday, February 28 at 4:30 p.m. Follow and the hashtag #celebrateteaching on Twitter for updates about the awards and for information about the exciting Celebrate Teaching! Awards Ceremony.
