Over the past several months, the university has engaged in broad consultations with Ontario Tech community members about micro certifications (digital credentials certifying the acquisition of an individual skill or capability that is shareable with peers, employers and educational providers). The Office of Learning Innovation has developed a document that provides responses to questions, concerns and feedback recorded during these consultations, along with proposed actions to address them.

Please read the document and provide your feedback on these proposed actions in the spaces provided.

You may also forward a copy of the document (with or without your comments) to your colleagues for their input. You may wish to collect feedback from your entire department/support unit within your faculty and submit collective feedback in a single document.

Please send completed feedback documents to badges@ontariotechu.ca by Thursday, January 16.

The Badges Taskforce will draft a policy using the proposed actions from this document as well as input gathered from the feedback period. The draft policy will then be circulated for review as per normal procedures.
