Enhance student digital fluency with eCampusOntario's micro-credential

On behalf of eCampusOntario, the Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) is excited to offer the Digital Fluency for Online and Hybrid Learners Micro-Credential. The micro-credential is asynchronous, bilingual, and suitable for online and hybrid post-secondary learners in Ontario.

The micro-credential will be facilitated by Lasandra Conliffe (Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Educational Studies and Digital Technology; MEd candidate). In addition to her role as an Educational Technology Analyst at the TLC, Lasandra is an eCampusOntario Digital Fluency Coach.

What Is the Digital Fluency Micro-Credential?

  • Five asynchronous modules, 90 minutes each, running from Monday, September 25 to Friday, December 8.
  • Modules will be delivered online through a Canvas course managed by the TLC.
  • Topics covered include Foundations, Operational Skills, Navigation, Creation, and Socialization in Digital Fluency.

Why is it important?

  • Digital fluency enhances students' online and hybrid learning readiness, improving their academic success and employability.
  • Learners will develop skills in digital file management, content creation, safe communication, and effective online research.
