Register for Mental Health First Aid program

Mental Health First Aid is a certified training program from the and is part of The National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. This training is currently the only international mental health training program (delivered in more than 25 countries).

  • When: Wednesday, November 29, from 8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m. *
  • Where: Virtual, Zoom meeting

    *Participants are required to complete a two-hour online self-directed learning module prior to attending the November 29 virtual training day. To facilitate access to this course, please register by Wednesday, November 15
Course participants will learn about:

  • How to recognize signs that a person may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health crisis.
  • How to initiate conversations with someone experiencing mental illnesses.
  • Professional resources and supports that can help with recovery.
  • Suicide intervention response and crisis training.
  • Self-care - Use MHFA actions to maintain one’s own mental well-being.
  • Additional communication strategies for people with different cultural backgrounds, and people in the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
