Reminder for research supervisors with graduate students

The School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (SGPS) reminds research supervisors that students often rely on the income from their Graduate Research Assistantships (GRA) to pay their tuition and fees. This does not occur automatically; the researcher must initiate the process by completing the Research and GRA Positions Form.

Please check with the graduate program staff in your home faculty to determine whether your student currently has a GRA in place, or to receive more information on the GRA process.

Important dates:

  • GRA forms must be submitted to gra@ontariotechu.ca no later than Thursday, January 4, 2024, to be included in the January payment.
  • The deadline for graduate student payment of tuition and fees is Monday, January 8, 2024.

Note: GRAs submitted after the deadline may affect graduate students’ ability to use their funds towards Winter tuition and fees.
