Janani Balasubramanian, a graduate student in the Faculty of Science (FSci), was
Balasubramanian was recognized for her community service and her groundbreaking research supporting the development of technology to automatically diagnose blood disorders in real-time using a surface-enhanced Raman scattering-based nano-sensor.
Balasubramanian is carrying out this research under the supervision of Dr. Nisha Agarwal, Assistant Professor, FSc, and is a recipient of the 2023-2024 Ontario Graduate Scholarship and the 2023 Mitacs Globalink Graduate Fellowship.
