FSSH Associate Professor wins Outstanding Mentor Award from Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences
Dr. Karla Dhungana Sainju, Associate Professor, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities recently received an award from the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) at their annual conference.
Dr. Sainju was presented with the Outstanding Mentor Award. ACJS presents the award to outstanding mentors who during the course of their career have made a significant contribution to the professional development of graduate students and junior faculty members in criminal justice. These outstanding mentors will be honoured in recognition of the recipient's excellence in the role of student/faculty mentor as evidenced by their willingness and commitment to foster the professional growth and achievement of students and faculty.
ACJS is an international association established in 1963 to foster professional and scholarly activities in the field of criminal justice. ACJS promotes criminal justice education, research, and policy analysis within the discipline of criminal justice for educators and practitioners.
