FBIT Professor delivers keynote speech at AI conference in Montreal

Dr. Peter Lewis, Canada Research Chair in Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Associate Professor in the Faculty of Business and Information Technology, delivered a keynote speech at the (graduate business school affiliated with the Université de Montréal).

The keynote presented a human-centric perspective on trust in AI, and highlighted research at Ontario Tech's Trustworthy AI Lab on accessible AI explanations, especially for persons with disabilities, bias and fairness, AI for forensic analysis, and the emerging area of reflective AI systems that can model their own trustworthiness. The event formed part of a bilateral initiative on regulation and standardization in AI between Canada and the European Union, led by a Quebec-France partnership project.
