Ontario Tech math education researcher appointed Co-director, Fields Institute Centre for Mathematics Education
Dr. Ami Mamolo, Associate Professor, Mitch and Leslie Frazer Faculty of Education, was recently appointed Co-director of the Fields Institute Centre for Mathematics Education (CME).
The Fields Institute is a centre for mathematical research activity that provides a supportive and rich environment for mathematics innovation and education. The Institute promotes collaboration between mathematicians and those working in other disciplines such as engineering, the physical and biological sciences, medicine, economics, finance, telecommunications and information systems.
The CME focuses on all aspects of teaching and learning mathematics, mathematics education research, and, by extension, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education.
