Replacing your Ucard

If your physical Ucard has been damaged and you need a replacement, please email ucard@ontariotechu.ca.

If your physical Ucard has been lost or stolen, follow the steps below as soon as possible:

  • Step 1: Suspend account transactions
    1. Log in to our .
    2. On the Dashboard screen, click Manage Campus ID.
    3. Under Account Transactions Deactivation, click Suspend account transactions.
    4. Select Confirm.

    If you have a meal plan, make sure you report your lost or stolen Ucard to leeann.hurst@compass-canada.com as soon as possible to have your meal plan account locked. Your account balance could be compromised until your account has been locked.

  • Step 2: Check to see if your card has been turned in
    • The lost and found bin at the North Oshawa campus can be found at the Security desk in the Gordon Willey building.
    • Each downtown Oshawa location also has a lost and found bin at its Security desk.
    • You can also check to see if your card has been turned in to the .
  • Step 3: Request a replacement, if required
    • A replacement physical Ucard will not be issued unless directly requested by the cardholder. If a replacement is required, please email ucard@ontariotechu.ca.
    • Administrative fees will apply. A $25 replacement fee will be charged for physical Ucards and a $2 replacement fee will be charged for nursing badges. For more information on fees, visit our .
    Note: If a replacement card is issued and the lost card is found, the replacement fee is non-refundable.
  • Step 4: Resume account transactions once you have received your replacement
    1. Log in to our .
    2. On the Dashboard screen, click Manage Campus ID.
    3. Under Account Transactions Activation, click Resume account transactions.
    4. Select Confirm.

You can always access your digital Ucard through our Ontario Tech Mobile app.

If your Ucard is non-mandatory (e.g. Not required for proximity access to campus spaces) and you want to use your digital Ucard instead of requesting a replacement, please email ucard@ontariotechu.ca to have your physical card deactivated.
